Gluing the mounting bracket for the interior rear view mirror (VAZ-2115)

When installing a new windshield, it is necessary to first glue the rearview mirror mounting bracket. To ensure reliable gluing, it is recommended to carry out the work at a car service station.

1. Clean the glass with a blade or a sharp knife where the bracket is glued. The bracket should be positioned along the axis of the car, its bottom should be at a distance of 105 mm from the upper edge of the glass.

2. Degrease the gluing area with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Apply LT-736 activator to the glass at the gluing area with a brush, and 1–2 drops of LT-317 glue to the surface of the bracket and press the bracket to the glass for 1–1.5 minutes.

3. After 24 hours of gluing, install the rearview mirror back into place.

4. When checking the strength of the bond, the bracket should not come off under a load of 300 N (30.6 kgf) applied perpendicular to the glass surface for 15 s.
