Gluing the inside rear view mirror plate to the windshield (VAZ-2108)

When installing a new windshield, the rearview mirror mounting plate is first glued. To ensure reliable gluing, it is recommended that the work be performed at a car service station.

Clean the glass from old glue at the place of gluing the plate with a blade or a sharp knife. The plate should be located along the axis of the car, its bottom should be at a distance of 105 mm from the upper edge of the glass. Degrease! the gluing place with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Apply LT-736 activator to the glass at the gluing place with a brush, and 1-2 drops of LT-317 glue to the surface of the plate and press the plate to the glass for 1-1.5 minutes. After 24 hours, after the adhesive bond has gained strength, put the rear-view mirror back in place.

When checking the strength of the adhesion, the plate should not come off under a load of 30 kg applied perpendicular to the glass surface for 15 s.
