Location of fuses and relays (VAZ-2115)

            0

Most of the electrical circuits in a vehicle are protected by fuses.

The battery charging circuit, engine ignition and starting circuits, and generator are not protected by fuses.

Electric motors of geared motors (windshield wipers, tailgate window wipers, headlight wipers) protected by automatic bimetallic fuses with multiple action.

The power supply circuit of the injection system is protected by a fuse made of a wire with a cross-section of 1 mm².

Powerful consumers (starter, headlights) connected via a relay.

The rear fog lamps and the fog lamp indicator lamp are protected by a separate fuse located in a plastic housing in the wiring harness near the fog lamp switch. This fuse is rated at 8 A.

Before replacing a blown fuse, find out the reason for its burning and eliminate it. When searching for a malfunction, it is recommended to look at the ones listed in the table (see "Electrical equipment faults") the circuits that this fuse protects.

Most of the fuses and auxiliary relays are located in a separate mounting block mounted in the air intake box on the left side of the vehicle.

The vehicles are equipped with a 2114-3722010 unit with blade-type fuses and compact relays.

Mounting block 2114-3722010: K1 – headlight washer relay; K2 – relay-interrupter of direction indicators and hazard warning lights; K3 – windshield wiper relay; K4 – lamp health control relay; K5 – window lifter relay; K6 – relay for switching on sound signals; K7 – relay for switching on the rear window heating; K8 – high beam headlight relay; K9 – low beam headlight relay; F1–F20 – fuses

The engine compartment wires are connected to the instrument panel and car interior wires via the mounting block. The location of the pads and the conventional numbers of the plugs in the connecting pads of the mounting block are shown in the figure below:

Conditional numbering of plugs in the pads of the mounting block for connecting wires in the cabin: W-1–W-4 and W-3–W-2-pads connecting to the wiring harness of the instrument panel; W-9 and W-10-pads connecting to the rear wiring harness

The internal connections diagram of the mounting block is shown in the following figure:

Warning: Do not replace fuses with jumpers or fuses rated for a different amperage, as this may damage electrical equipment.

Helpful advice. Relays of type 111.3734, installed in the mounting block, often fail due to burning of contacts. Take out the relay, remove its protective cover and clean the contacts with fine-grained sandpaper.
