Check and adjust the headlights on a loaded vehicle: with a full fuel tank, a set of tools and a spare tire.

To adjust the headlights, follow these steps:.
1. Position the car perpendicular to a smooth wall (for example, in the garage) at a distance of 5 m from it. Place a weight of 75 kg on the driver's seat. Mark the screen on the wall as shown in the figure above. Measure the distance from the center of the headlights to the floor. This will be the distance h on the screen. The longitudinal plane of symmetry of the car should pass along line 0 on the screen.
2. Turn the headlight range control knob to the "driver and front passenger" position and turn on the low beam.
3. Adjust the direction of the light spot separately for each headlight. Cover the second headlight with an opaque cloth during adjustment.
4. Adjust with screws 2 (in the horizontal plane) and 1 (in the vertical plane) the position of the light spot for each headlight if the location of the light spots on the screen does not match the picture.

5. The headlights are considered adjusted if the upper boundary of the left parts of the light spots coincides with line N, and vertical lines A and B pass through points C1 and C2 of intersection of horizontal and inclined sections of the light spots.

Fog light adjustment diagram: B – distance between fog light centers; C – height to the center of the fog lights
To adjust the fog light, follow these steps:.
1. Place the car on a level surface. Measure the distance from the floor to the center of the headlights. Mark the screen as shown in the fog light adjustment diagram. Draw a horizontal line on the marked screen, located 50 mm below the height of the center of the headlights.
2. Turn the adjusting screw to adjust the light of the fog lights by changing the angle of the light beams.

3. The light of the fog lights is considered adjusted if the upper boundary of the light spots coincides with the line located 50 mm below line C.
