Replacing the license plate light bulb (VAZ-2115)

On a hatchback, the license plate lights are located at the bottom of the tailgate, while on a sedan, they are located at the rear edge of the trunk lid. The lamp bulbs are replaced in the same way on both cars.



To replace the license plate light bulb, follow these steps:.

1. Open the tailgate (or the trunk lid). Using a thin screwdriver, push the flashlight to the left and remove it.



2. Disconnect the wires from the light.

3. Carefully remove the rubber boot.



4. Use a thin screwdriver to press the contacts and remove the lamp.



5. Insert the new bulb.



6. Place the cover over the flashlight, threading the contacts, latch and hook through the holes in the cover.
