Removal
1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or overpass (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a slotted screwdriver, loosen the nut with a knurled surface, unscrew it and disconnect the speedometer drive cable.

3. Having previously loosened the plastic clamp A that holds the wire harnesses together, press on the spring clips and disconnect the wire harness connector from the vehicle speed sensor connector.

4. With an open-end wrench by 22 mm (or by hand) unscrew and remove the sensor from the speedometer drive.

You can verify that the sensor is faulty by replacing it with a known good one.
Installation
The sensor is installed in the reverse order.
