We remove the window lift mechanism for replacement.
Rear door glass drive: 1 - window lift handle; 2 - facing with a lock; 3 - socket; 4 - window lift mechanism; 5 - top roller; 6 - glass bracket; 7 - cable pressure plate; 8 - screw; 9 - lower roller; 10 - tension roller; 11 - tension roller fastening nut
Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the cable pressure plate (see "Rear door glass - removal and installation").
3. With a socket wrench by 10 mm we loosen the tension roller mounting nut, move it and remove the cable from the roller.
4. Lift the glass until it stops and fix it in this position with a suitable object, such as a wooden wedge.
5. Remove the cable from the remaining two rollers.
6. With a socket or open-end wrench by 8 mm we unscrew the three nuts securing the window lift mechanism.
7. Remove the window lift mechanism from the technological hole in the inner door panel.
Installation
1. Lubricate the cable with plastic grease.
2. Install the window lift mechanism in the reverse order, preventing the cable from coming off the window lift mechanism drum.
3. By moving the roller, we tighten the cable and tighten the roller mounting bolt. We check the smooth operation of the drive.
