Removing the rear door lock
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the upholstery of the rear door in the same way as removing the front (see "Front door upholstery - removal and installation").
3. Remove the protective film of the door.
4. Squeezing the petals, remove the holder of the lock lock rod from the hole in the rear guide of the sliding glass.
5. Using a slotted screwdriver, disconnect the tip of the lock rod from the lock lever.
6. We remove the lock rod from the technological hole of the inner door panel.
7. If it is necessary to remove the lock drive, unscrew the lock button (see "Front door glass - removal and installation").
8. socket wrench by 13 mm unscrew the nut securing the drive bracket.
9. We take out the drive from the technological opening of the door.
10. To remove the lock, disconnect the lock rod from its lever (see above, paragraph 5).
11. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws securing the lock.
12. With the same tool, unscrew the two screws securing the inner door handle.
13. We take out the lock together with the rod and the inner handle from the technological hole in the door.
14. socket wrench by 8 mm with an extension, unscrew the two nuts securing the outer handle.
15. We take out the handle with a rubber gasket from the outer panel of the door.
16. Remove the outer door handle seal.
Installation
1. We clean from dirt and lubricate the rubbing surfaces with an aerosol or plastic lubricant.
2. Install the removed parts in reverse order.
