Removal
1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or overpass (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. For easy access to the upper generator mounting nut, remove the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").
3. With a socket wrench by 17 mm using the cardan shaft and extension, unscrew the nut that secures the generator to the adjustment bar.
4. Remove the engine compartment mudguard (see "Mudguard - Removal and Installation").
5. Remove the belt from the generator pulley (see "Generator Drive Belt - Tension Adjustment and Replacement").
6. Disconnect the wires from the generator terminals "67" and the central terminal of the stator.
7. Slide the protective cap with the key by 10 mm we unscrew the nut that secures the wire tips to terminal "30", connected to the positive terminal of the battery.
8. With a socket wrench by 19 mm we unscrew the nut that secures the generator to the bracket on the cylinder block.
9. After removing the bolt, remove the generator. Make sure not to lose the buffer bushing A in the eye of the lid.
Installation
1. Installation of the generator is performed in reverse order.
2. Adjust the belt tension (see "Generator Drive Belt - Tension Adjustment and Replacement").
