Removal
1. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system (see "Relieving pressure in the fuel system").
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").
3. Disconnect the wiring block and hoses from the electric fuel pump tubes and, having disconnected the fastening clamp, move the upper part of the fuel tank to the left (see "Fuel tank - removal and installation").
4. Using a 7 mm wrench, unscrew the eight nuts around the perimeter of the flange that secure the electric fuel pump to the fuel tank.

5. Lift the electric fuel pump and tilt it to remove the fuel level indicator sensor float from the hole.

The connection between the fuel tank and the electric fuel pump is sealed with a gasket.

6. To remove the intake mesh filter, carefully pry it up with two screwdrivers.

7. Remove the filter from the pump tip.

8. Wash the filter in acetone or a similar solvent, clean with a hard brush and blow with compressed air.
9. To replace the fuel level indicator sensor, use a screwdriver to release the clamp of the sensor and pump wire block. Disconnect the block.

10. Using a slotted screwdriver, press on the wire retainer and remove it.

11. Mark the position of the wires in the block so as not to mix them up during assembly. Use an awl to press the ends of the sensor wires and disconnect them from the block.

12. Using a slotted screwdriver, unscrew the screw securing the pump ground wire and the lower sensor mount, as well as the screw securing the upper sensor mount.

13. Use nippers or side cutters to cut the wire fastening clamp.

14. Remove the fuel level indicator sensor.
15. To replace the pump, remove the filter from it and disconnect the wiring block.

16. Use a slotted screwdriver to pry up the pump fasteners.

17. Move the pump from the bracket.

18. Using two slotted screwdrivers, pry up the retainer and remove it from the groove in the pump holder.

19. Heat the plastic tube with an industrial hair dryer or hot water to a temperature of 70-90°C.

20. Remove the tube from the pump branch pipe.

Installation
Installation of all removed parts is carried out in reverse order.
