Removing the fuel rail
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Relieve pressure in the power system (see "Pressure relief in the power system").
3. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Battery - removal and installation").
4. Having pressed the latch, disconnect the block of the injector wiring harness from the engine harness.
5. Using an ohmmeter, we check the resistance of the injector windings by connecting one probe to the output E ("mass") pads of wires, and the other - in turn to four conclusions (F,G,B,C), measuring the resistance of each nozzle, which should be in the range of 12-14.5 ohms.
6. Remove the receiver (see "Receiver - removal and installation").
7. Using a 17 mm wrench, unscrew the fitting of the fuel drain pipe from the ramp, holding the hose tip with a wrench of the same size.
8. Similarly, disconnect the fuel supply pipe to the rail.
A sealing ring is installed in the connection between the tube and the hose end.
9. With a 5 mm hex wrench, unscrew the two screws securing the ramp to the intake manifold.
10. Pulling the ramp along the axes of the injectors, remove it complete with injectors, pressure regulator, fuel pipes and wiring harness.
If the injector remains in the intake manifold, the injector body O-ring and spring retainer must be replaced.
11. To remove the fuel supply pipe to the rail with a 5 mm hex wrench, unscrew the screw securing the tube retainer and remove it from the rail.
A sealing ring is also installed in the connection of the tube and the ramp.
12. To remove the nozzle, move the lock along the ramp.
13. Shaking the nozzle, we take it out of the hole in the ramp.
14. Pressing the spring clip of the wire block, disconnect it from the nozzle.
15. To replace the injector O-rings, remove them from the body and sprayer.
16. Using an ohmmeter, we check the resistance of the nozzle winding, which should be in the range of 12-14.5 ohms. Otherwise, replace the nozzle.
Installation
1. We replace the sealing rings by lubricating them with engine oil before installation.
2. Install all removed parts in reverse order.
