1 - latch spring; 2 - lock nut; 3 - latch; 4 - safety hook; 5 - safety hook handle
Notes:
- Signs that the latch position needs to be adjusted include a hard impact when closing the hood and difficulty opening.
- Signs that the latch needs to be adjusted in height include a large force when closing the hood or vertical play of the hood in the closed position.

1. Loosen the lock nut while holding the latch with a screwdriver to prevent it from turning. To adjust the height of the latch, turn it out or screw it in (see notes).

2. To adjust the latch position, move it in the desired direction. After adjustment, tighten the lock nut. Check the operation of the lock: if the hood does not close completely, repeat the adjustment.
