1. Adjustment buffer. 2. Safety hook. 3. Hood lock latch. 4. Underhood lamp wire. 5. Washer tee. 6. Washer hoses. 7. Underhood lamp. 8. Hood stop.
Before you begin: disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
Note: We recommend that two people remove and install the hood.

1. Open the hood and mark the location of the bolts on the bracket with a felt-tip pen.

2. Disconnect the washer hose from the tee on the hood and remove the hose from the hood.

3. Disconnect the wiring harness from the underhood lamp and remove the wires from the hood.

Note: If you do not plan to replace the hood, we recommend tying a wire or rope to the block. When you take out the wires, untie the rope and leave it inside the hood. This will make it easier to pull the wires to the underhood lamp when installing the hood.

4. Unscrew the two bolts securing the hinges to the hood on both sides and remove the hood.

5. Install the hood in the reverse order of removal. If you are installing an old hood, align it with the marks you made earlier before tightening the bolts completely. If you have replaced the hood, its position will need to be adjusted.
