Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws that secure the pads together and the three screws that secure the lower pad to the steering column.

3. Move the steering column locking lever down to the stop and lower the steering column.
4. Remove the lower trim and disconnect the hazard warning light switch wiring harness from it.

5. Remove the rubber ring.

6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the hazard warning light switch.

7. Remove the upper steering column cover.

8. If necessary, remove the hazard warning light switch from the cover.
Installation
We install the pads in the reverse order.
