Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the front wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").
3. We press out the pin of the outer tie rod end from the hole of the steering knuckle (see "Tie Rod End - Replacement") without taking your finger out of the fist hole.
4. In the engine compartment with a spanner or socket wrench by 10 mm unscrew the two nuts of the upper fastening of the protective screen.
5. Using the same wrench, unscrew the nut of the lower screen mount.
6. Remove the screen from the studs and remove it from the engine compartment.
7. With a slotted screwdriver, we bend the edges of the locking plate of the bolts for fastening the left and right rods.
8. head by 22 mm unscrew the left link bolt to the steering gear and loosen the right link bolt.
9. We take out the left traction bolt and turn the bolt plates down.
10. We take out the left thrust into the mudguard hole.
We remove the right thrust in the same way.
Installation
1. Measure the length of the removed rod (distance between the center of the hole of the rubber-metal bushing of the inner end of the rod and the center of the plug hole of the ball pin).
2. Rotating the coupling of the new rod, make its length equal to the length of the removed rod.
Warning! Before adjusting the length of the rod, make sure that it and its tip are wrapped in the coupling by an equal number of turns.
3. Install the traction in the reverse order.
4. Tighten the lock nuts of the adjusting sleeve with a torque of 121-149.4 N·m (12.3-15.2 kgf·m).
5. Tighten and splint the bolt for fastening the pin of the tie rod ends with a torque of 27.1-33.4 N·m (2.8-3.4 kgf·m).
6. Tighten the bolts for fastening the rods to the steering mechanism with a torque of 70-86 N·m (7.1-8.6 kgf·m) after installing the car on wheels.
7. We bend the edges of the locking plate.
8. Install the protective screen.
Warning! After replacing the traction, it is necessary to adjust the toe-in at the service station.
