The limit switch often stops closing the circuit to "ground" due to corrosion that occurs between the screw that mounts the switch and the walls of the hole into which the screw is screwed. To restore the switch to working order, it must be removed.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw that secures the switch to the door post.

3. Remove the switch from the hole in the door pillar and disconnect the wire tip from the switch terminal.

Recommendation: The self-tapping screw and switch covered with corrosion should be replaced. The hole in the body pillar for the self-tapping screw should be cleaned and treated with a rust converter.
Installation
We install the switch in the reverse order.
