1. Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the three screws securing the upper steering column trim to the lower trim.
3. Remove the screw securing the lower trim to the steering column switch connector.
4. Remove the two screws securing the lower trim to the steering column bracket.
5. Lift the upper steering column trim and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the hazard warning switch.
6. Remove the upper trim together with the hazard warning switch and take the switch out of the trim.
7. Move the steering column adjustment lever down to its lowest position.
8. Remove the lower steering column trim, passing the steering column adjustment lever through its slot.
9. Install the steering column trims in the reverse order of removal.
