Vehicle Passport Data (VAZ-2115)

The vehicle model and number, engine model, name of the manufacturer, design options and configurations are indicated on the identification plate attached under the hood on the engine compartment bulkhead.

This is what the identification plate looks like:

• 1 - manufacturer;
• 2 - identification number;
• 3 - engine model;
• 4 - front axle load;
• 5 - rear axle load;
• 6 - assembly number;
• 7 - version of execution;
• 8 - permitted weight of the vehicle with a trailer;
• 9 - maximum permitted vehicle weight;
• 10 - spare parts order number.

Decoding the identification number (XTA21140023183471):

• the first three letters (XTA) are the manufacturer's index: the first letter indicates the geographical area (X - Europe); the second one is the country (T - Russia); the third is the manufacturer (A - JSC "AvtoVAZ");
• the next six digits (211400) are the car model;
• number 2 is the model year code of the car (see table 1.2);
• the last seven digits (3183471) are the body number.
