From the inside, front and rear doors (on VAZ-2114, VAZ-2115 cars) are locked by pressing the lock button on the left front door. The door lock system provides the ability to individually unlock the rear doors and the right front door using the door lock buttons. When the lock buttons are down, the doors cannot be opened from either the inside or the outside. In this case, both the outer and inner handles have free play.

To close the trunk lid (VAZ-2115) or the tailgate (VAZ-2114, VAZ-2113), lower it and close it with a little force at the end of the stroke.
To prevent children from opening the rear doors from the inside, an additional door locking device, a "child" lock, is provided for safety purposes.

The lever of this device is located at the end of the rear door, access to it is possible only with the door open. To lock, lower the lever down. With the "child" lock on and the lock button raised, the rear door can only be opened from the outside.
