Replacing the air filter element (VAZ-2115)

The replacement of the air filter element is regulated and is performed every 30,000 km. The condition of the filter element depends on the operating conditions of the car: on dustier and more polluted roads, the element gets clogged faster.

You will need a screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the mass air flow sensor.



2. Remove the four screws securing the filter cover…



3. …lift the lid…

4. …and remove the filter element from it.



5. Install the new filter element into the housing, orienting it in the same way as the previous one (pay attention to the direction of the corrugation of the element).

6. Install the filter cover together with the filter element and screw in the screws that secure it.

7. Connect the wire harness to the mass air flow sensor.
