Replacement interval: Replace the filter element every 15,000 km.
Attention! The filter element quickly becomes clogged when the vehicle is operated on country roads. If the engine begins to lose power, inspect the filter element and replace it if it is heavily soiled, warped or destroyed by the filter itself or elastic rings.
This item needs to be replaced.
1. Open the hood. Loosen the filter cover nut and remove the washer.
2. Release the four spring clips.
3. Remove the air filter cover.
4. Remove the filter element from the housing.
5. Plug the carburetor neck with a clean rag.
6. Wipe the inside of the filter housing and cover with a clean, damp cloth.
7. Install a new filter element.
8. Close the lid, the arrow on the lid must match the arrow on the nozzle. Fasten the spring clips and tighten the nut, placing a washer under it. Do not overtighten the nut.
