The sensor is installed in the cylinder block on the left side.
Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").
3. Remove the protective rubber cap from the sensor and disconnect the wire tip from the sensor output.
4. With a socket wrench by 21 mm using a deep socket or a spark plug wrench of the same size, unscrew the sensor.
A sealing washer is installed between the cylinder block and the sensor.
Installation
The sensor is installed in the reverse order.
