Opening the hood (VAZ-2105)

To open the hood, pull lever 1 (Fig. 6) towards you and lift the hood. In the open position, the hood is held by a rigid stop 1 (Fig. 7). When opening the hood, if the parking light is on, the underhood lamp 2 is automatically turned on (installed in a variant design). To close the hood, lift it and release the support.

In the variant version, the raised hood is held by a spring stop.
