Hood
It consists of outer and inner panels made of 0.7 mm thick sheet steel. The panels are interconnected by bending the flanges of the outer panels, followed by traceless spot welding. To increase rigidity, the panels are additionally glued together. The hood is often attached to the upper cross member with two hinges and is often opened forward along the vehicle. Enlarged holes in the hinges allow the hood to be adjusted in relation to the front fenders and windscreen frame. In the open position, the hood is held by a wire stop. The plastic stop roller is mounted on an axle welded to the reinforcement of the inner hood panel.
Hood lock (pic. 191) mounted on the hood, which is welded to the reinforcement of the inner hood panel. Oval holes in the body 1 for attaching the lock allow you to adjust the position of the lock. When the hood is closed, the pin presses the ejector 3 and the hook hook under the action of the spring 2 captures the pin. When the hood is unlocked from the passenger compartment with the handle 6 for the rod 5, the hook releases the pin, and the ejector, under the action of the spring, lifts the hood above the surface of the body.

Trunk lid
The trunk lid of cars 2101 and 21011 has a lot in common with the hood. The lid is hung on two stamped hinges 3 (pic. 192) and is balanced by torsion bars 4. Lock 1 is attached together with the drive on the inner panel of the lid and consists of a stamped body and a base, between which a hook with a spring is placed. The base of the lock has a spike that enters into the groove of the latch when the cover is closed. The latch of the lock is stamped from sheet steel and is attached with two bolts to the upper crossbar of the tailgate. Hooking is carried out over the edge of the latch. When the key is turned, the cylinder with the cylinder turns the hook and releases the latch.
Bumpers
Manufactured from sheet steel 1.8 mm thick. The outer surface is chrome plated. Bumpers have chrome lining, to which plastic buffers are attached. Bumpers are attached to the body with brackets.
Bumpers of VAZ-21011 cars have buffers along the entire length.
