Warning: When closing the hood, make sure that there are no tools, rags, etc. on the wing flanges or front crossmember. When closing the hood, do not throw it, but carefully lower it and slam it shut.
Pull the hood release handle towards you under the instrument panel on the left side.
Place your hand under the hood slightly to the left of the middle, press the safety catch lever from the bottom up and lift the hood.
Remove the stop from the latch on the body and...
...lock the hood in the open position by inserting the upper hook of the stop into the groove on the inside of the hood.
To close the hood, lower the stop, secure it in the latch on the body and carefully lower the hood. This will click the safety hook. Press the hood (approximately in the middle) until it clicks - the hood lock will close.
