Removal and installation the tailgate (VAZ-2108)

Remove the brush and disconnect the electrical wires, open the door all the way, unscrew the stop pins 6 (see figure 162) from the threaded holes 5 and remove the stops (in this case, the assistant must support the animal). Unscrew the bolts securing the movable links of the hinges 3 and remove the door. If necessary, remove the door trim, lock and windshield wiper.

The door is installed in the reverse order. If it is necessary to adjust the door in the body opening, loosen the nuts securing the fixed hinge links and adjust the gaps around the door perimeter using the enlarged holes in the body. After completing the adjustment, tighten the nuts.

If the tailgate closes too tightly, loosen the lock retainer and move it in the desired direction using the enlarged holes in the retainer. It is recommended to outline the retainer contours before adjusting. After adjusting, tighten the fastening bolts.
