Adjusting the clutch drive (VAZ-1111)

The clutch pedal travel before it hits the floor mat should be 105-115 mm. It is adjusted with nut 9 (see figure 74). During vehicle operation, the clutch pedal travel increases due to wear of the clutch discs (the pedal rises). The maximum permissible pedal travel should not exceed 140 mm. Adjustment procedure:

• loosen lock nut 10, turn adjusting nut 9 to set clutch pedal travel to 105-115 mm;
• press the clutch pedal until it hits the floor mat at least three times and check the pedal travel; if necessary, adjust it with nut 9;
• without changing the pedal position, tighten lock nut 10 to a torque of 14.7–19.6 N·m.
