If the clutch is adjusted correctly, the car should start moving at about the middle of the clutch pedal travel.
2. If the car starts moving at the end of the clutch pedal travel, it is necessary to adjust the full pedal travel. The clutch of front-wheel drive VAZ cars is activated by a cable connected to the clutch pedal. To adjust such a clutch, it is enough to open the hood. On the threaded part of the cable there are two nuts with which the cable is attached to the bracket. With these nuts you can adjust the clutch pedal travel.
To reduce the full travel of the clutch pedal, you need to slightly loosen the nut inside the bracket and tighten the nut located on the outside.

Helpful Hint: If the threads are rusted and the nut won't come off, soak it in any thread remover (like WD-40). If you don't have this compound at hand, you can wet the threads with brake fluid or motor oil, which are always available in the car.
After adjusting the clutch, be sure to check it as described earlier. If the clutch is adjusted correctly, the full pedal travel when moving it from the uppermost position to the stop at the bottom should be 125-135 mm. If the adjustments do not help and the clutch continues to slip, then it is faulty and requires replacement (see subsection "Clutch").
