We dismantle the fuel rail from the vehicle if it is necessary to remove the injectors, as well as in other cases when repairing the engine.
Warning: Before performing work on removing the fuel rail, read the safety rules for servicing and repairing the fuel system (see "Safety precautions for maintenance and repair of the power supply system").
Removal
1. Relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel line (see "Fuel line - pressure relief").
2. Remove the intake manifold (see "Intake manifold of engine 21124 (1.6i) - removal, installation, replacement").
3. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the injectors.

4. Cut the two clamps securing the wiring harness to the fuel rail and move the harness to the side.

5. Using a 17 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the fuel line fitting from the fuel rail, holding the hex end of the fuel rail with a wrench of the same size.

6. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw securing the fuel line tube.

7. Move the end of the fuel line away from the fuel rail.

Warning: If the fuel line tube sealing ring is damaged, it must be replaced.
8. Remove the rubber sealing ring from the fuel line.

9. Using a 5 mm Allen key, unscrew the two bolts securing the fuel rail to the cylinder head.

10. Remove the fuel rail assembly with injectors.

Installation
We install the fuel rail and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order.
Recommendation: Before installing the fuel rail, replace the lower injector rings.
