Before unscrewing the cover fastening nuts, pre-mark the position of the hinges relative to the cover by tracing the loops along the contour with a felt-tip pen. This will allow you to maintain the position of the cover in the opening during installation.
The trunk lid lock is non-removable. If it is faulty, replace it.

1. To remove the trunk lid, unscrew the two nuts securing the hinges on both sides and remove the trunk lid. Install the lid in the reverse order, adjusting its position in the opening if necessary.

2. To replace the trunk lid lock, unscrew the two mounting nuts and remove the lock. Install the lock in the reverse order. After installation, adjust the lock.

3. If the door latch does not fit into the lock hole when closing the door lid (a bang is heard and the trunk lid closes with great effort), loosen the two mounting bolts and move the retainer in the desired direction. Then tighten the retainer mounting bolts.
