Front brake mechanism (VAZ-2114)

The front brake mechanism is disc, non-ventilated, with a floating caliper and one working cylinder. The brake disc is cast iron, its minimum permissible thickness during wear is 10.8 mm. The gap between the brake pads and the disc is maintained due to the elasticity of the rubber sealing ring installed in the groove of the wall of the working cylinder. Depending on the configuration, it is possible to install an internal brake pad with a wear sensor.
