Removal
1. Remove the windshield wiper from the car (see above, "Windscreen wiper - removal and installation").
2. Mark or remember the position of the crank relative to the windshield wiper rods.
3. With a spanner by 13 mm unscrew the lever mounting nut.
4. Using a slotted screwdriver with a wide blade, pry up and remove the crank from the splines of the gear motor shaft.
5. With a spanner by 10 mm we unscrew the three bolts securing the gear motor to the windshield wiper bracket.
6. Remove the gear motor from the bracket.
Installation
Warning! Before assembling the windshield wiper, make sure that the shaft of the new gear motor is in its original position. Otherwise, the windshield wiper will not function properly.
1. To install the shaft of the new gear motor in its original position, connect the motor-gearbox wiring harness connector to the corresponding connector on the vehicle (see "Windscreen wiper - removal and installation") and briefly turn on the windshield wiper in intermittent mode. After the motor-reducer has completed a full cycle and automatically stopped, turn off the ignition and disconnect it from the car's electrical circuit.
2. Install the crank on the motor-reducer shaft in accordance with the mark made during disassembly (or based on the position of the rods, see above). With a spanner by 13 mm we tighten the crank mounting nut.
3. Install the windshield wiper on the car (see "Windscreen wiper - removal and installation").
