Tip: You can verify that the temperature sensor is working by comparing its readings on the instrument panel with a household liquid-type thermometer. Violations in the temperature readings can be caused by increased electrical resistance in the connection of the contacts of the wire block with the sensor leads.
A multimeter is required to do the job (in voltmeter mode).
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the sensor.
3. Turning on the ignition, we measure the voltage at the terminals of the connecting block of the wiring harness.
Recommendation: The voltage should be about 3.5 V. If the voltage is not supplied to the block, then the power circuit or instrument panel is faulty. You can verify that the sensor is faulty by replacing it with a known good one.
4. Remove the sensor from the bracket and remove it.
5. We replace the faulty sensor with the same type (2115-3828210/ PA6.GF15).
6. Install the sensor in reverse order.
