Ignition Switch (Lock) — Repair (VAZ-2114)

The manufacturer installs ignition switches from various manufacturers on cars. These switches differ in design and maintainability. The ignition switch can have a backlight lamp, microswitch and contact group replaced. Switches similar to KZ-881 have a LED instead of a backlight lamp.

Recommendation: The decision on repair or replacement should be made depending on the modification of the ignition switch that the car is equipped with. A switch with a faulty contact group, for disassembling which it is necessary to unsolder the wires, should be replaced as an assembly.
