Ignition Switch (Lock) — Repair (VAZ-2112)

The manufacturer installs ignition switches from various manufacturers on cars. The switches differ in design and maintainability. The ignition switch backlight lamp, microswitch and contact group can be replaced. A LED can be installed instead of the ignition switch backlight lamp.

Recommendation. The decision on repair or replacement should be made depending on the modification of the ignition switch that the car is equipped with. A switch that requires unsoldering the wires for disassembly, with a faulty contact group, should be replaced as an assembly.
