Remove the ignition switch from the vehicle (see subsection 8.4.8.).
1. Loosen the screw securing the trim and contact part to the ignition switch housing.
2. Remove the key from the ignition switch cylinder (if the key was not removed when the ignition switch was removed from the vehicle).
3. Remove the rubber ring from the ignition switch cover.
4. Use a screwdriver to pry up the two retaining clips that secure the trim to the ignition switch housing and...
5....remove the contact part with the lining from the ignition switch housing. Replace the faulty parts (ignition switch housing or contact part).
