Removal and installation the heater fan (VAZ-2115)

The heater fan is located in the compartment in front of the windshield under the hood. It can be removed without removing the heater from the car.

You will need a screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. In the passenger compartment, under the instrument panel, disconnect the connector of the positive wire of the fan motor…



3. …and, having unscrewed the lower heater mounting nut, remove the "ground" wire of the electric motor.



4. Open the hood and remove the two screws securing the fan shroud on both sides.



5. Remove the casing.





6. Remove the two fan mounting screws.



7. Remove the five screws securing the air intake grilles in front of the windshield and

remove the grates.



8. Slightly lift and disengage the front fan support by sliding the fan towards you.



9. Turn the fan 90° and remove it from the compartment in front of the windshield.




10. Install the fan in the reverse order of removal.
