1. Remove the spoiler (see «Removal and installation of a spoiler on cars with a hatchback body»). Rotate the brush arm to a vertical position, unscrew its fastening nut and remove the brush arm from the wiper shaft.
2. Remove the protective cap.
3. Turn away a nut of the top fastening of an arm.
4. Remove the metal and rubber leveling washers.
5. Disconnect the windshield wiper harness connector.
6. Turn out two bolts of fastening …
7.... and remove the wiper from the door.
8. Remove the rubber o-ring and metal washer from the gearbox housing.
9. Remove the lock ring from the roller of the wiper mechanism..
10....and the puck.
11. Remove the O-ring from the groove.
12. Turn off four screws of fastening of a cover of a reducer..
13.... and remove the cover with the bracket.
14. Turn out two bolts of fastening and remove an arm from a reducer cover.
15. Carefully remove the gasket.
16. Remove the carrier from the gearbox housing.
17. Remove the gearbox gear by lifting it with a screwdriver.
18. Remove two screws (the second is behind the gearbox housing) …
19.... and remove the two cage nuts.
20. Remove the motor housing.
21. Remove the anchor from the cover and body.
22. Replace broken or loose brush springs. Check the ease of movement of the brushes in the brush holder: they should move freely, without jamming. Replace worn or chipped brushes. When replacing, solder the leads of the new brushes to the brush holder.
23. Clean the collector with fine-grained sandpaper if it is dirty or has marks, scratches or other damage on it. If the commutator is badly worn or burnt, replace the armature or gearbox/motor assembly. If there are signs of jamming on the necks of the anchor, clean the necks with fine-grained sandpaper.
24. Replace gear with severely worn or damaged teeth. Inspect the contacts of the limit switch of the self-stop mechanism. Clean oxidized contacts. If the contacts are broken, replace the gear.
25. If the splines or threads of the rollers are damaged, or if the teeth are broken, replace the planet carrier.
26. Replace torn, cracked, or loose rubber pads and other rubber parts. Remove the spacer before changing the cushions.
27. Assemble and install the tailgate window cleaner in the reverse order of removal. When assembling the reducer, lubricate the reducer gear, motor shaft worm, shaft, and carrier teeth with grease.
