14. Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the bracket from the gearbox cover.

15. Carefully remove the sealing gasket.

16. Remove the planet carrier from the gearbox housing.

20. Remove the engine housing.

21. Remove the anchor from the cover and body.

22. Replace broken or loose brush springs. Check the ease of movement of the brushes in the brush holder: they should move freely, without jamming. Replace worn or chipped brushes. When replacing, solder the terminals of the new brushes to the brush holder.

23. Clean the commutator with fine-grained sandpaper if it is dirty or has scratches, nicks or other damage. If the commutator is badly worn or burnt, replace the anchor or gearbox with the electric motor as an assembly. If traces of seizure are found on the anchor journals, clean the journals with fine-grained sandpaper.

24. Replace the gear reducer with heavily worn or damaged teeth. Inspect the contacts of the limit switch of the self-stop mechanism. Clean the oxidized contacts. If the contacts are broken, replace the gear.

25. If the splines or threads of the shafts are damaged, or if the teeth are broken, replace the carrier.

26. Replace torn, cracked or loose rubber cushions and other rubber parts. Remove the spacer bushing before replacing the cushions.

27. Assemble and install the rear window wiper in the reverse order of removal. When assembling the gearbox, lubricate the gearbox pinion, the electric motor shaft worm, the shaft and the carrier teeth with grease.
