The air filter element is replaced according to the maintenance schedule after 20,000 km of vehicle mileage. If you frequently drive on dusty roads, the filter element must be replaced more often.
Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four screws securing the air filter housing cover.
3. Disconnect the mass air flow sensor wiring harness connector (see "Mass Air Flow Sensor - Checking and Replacing").
4. Lift the cover and remove the filter element.
5. Clean the inner surface of the filter housing with a damp cloth.
Installation
We install the air filter element in the reverse order so that its corrugations are located along the arrows made on the inner surface of the housing and are directed downwards.
