2. Remove dirt from the outer surfaces of the cardan transmission parts.
3. Check the tightness of all accessible connections of the cardan transmission parts and tighten any loose connections.
4. Using a large screwdriver, rock the cardan joint forks relative to each other to check for play in the bearings. If play is detected, the crosspiece with bearings must be replaced.
5. Holding the front propeller shaft from rotating and rocking the elastic coupling, check for the absence of angular play in the splined connection.
6. Inspect the flexible coupling and the intermediate support of the front propeller shaft. If the rubber is peeling off from the metal, or there are cracks or tears, the coupling and/or intermediate support must be replaced.
7. The splined joint of the cardan shaft must be lubricated regularly (see "Periodic maintenance"). For this purpose, use the key by 11 mm we unscrew the plug and install a grease nipple in its place.
8. Using a syringe, inject grease through the grease nipple (Fiol-2U, SHRUS-4 or similar) into the splined connection until it comes out from under the flange seal.
9. Unscrew the grease nipple and install the plug in place.
