Cabin ventilation
Outside air can enter the vehicle interior:
- with the windows of the doors down;
- through the upper nozzles on the instrument panel, if you move the distribution lever 5 to the right (pic. 31, 32) and lever 6 for controlling the air intake hatch cover;
- through the side nozzles 1 on the instrument panel, if you move lever 6 to the right, and lever 5 to the left;
- through the openings of the heater casing, if you open the air distribution cover with lever 3 and move lever 6 to the right;
- through the central nozzles 10 directly from the air intake box when the car is moving, if the nozzle dampers are opened with regulators 8 (summer airflow).
By moving the lever 9 in the horizontal and vertical directions, the direction of the air flow changes.
In the middle position of lever 5 and in the right extreme position of lever 6, air will flow through both the upper and side nozzles.
Turning the side nozzle guide vanes changes the direction of the air flow.
If the vehicle is moving at a low speed, you can increase the amount of incoming air by turning on the heater electric fan with switch 2.
Anti-fog windshield, front door glass and rear window
To protect the windshield and front door windows from fogging, it is enough to send cold air to them, for which:
- close the air distribution cover of the heater with lever 3;
- move lever 6 to the right, and set lever 5 to the middle position;
- turn the side nozzle guide vanes so that the airflow is directed towards the front door windows.
If you need to warm up the incoming air a little, move the control lever 7 of the heater tap control partially to the right. Turn on the heater fan if necessary.
To protect the rear window from fogging, turn on its electric heating with switch 4.
Interior heating
For heating the car interior and protecting the windshield, front door windows, rear window from fogging and freezing:
- move levers 6 and 7 to the right;
- set lever 5 to the middle position;
- open the air distribution cover of the heater with lever 3;
- turn on the heated rear window;
- turn on the heater electric fan if necessary;
- turn the side nozzle guide vanes so that the airflow is directed towards the front door windows.
Warm air will be directed both to the driver's and passengers' feet, and to the windshield and front door windows. For faster heating of only the windshield, close the heater cover and move lever 5 to the right.
