The air entering the passenger compartment through the air intake passes through the heater. Depending on the position of the levers of the air intake hatch cover and the control of the heater valve, either heated or cold air enters the passenger compartment.
Warning. Heated rear window consumes a lot of energy. Therefore, in order to avoid discharging the battery, it is recommended to use it with the engine running and only for the time necessary to clean the glass.
Interior ventilation and heating controls: 1 - heater electric fan switch; 2 - rotary deflectors; 3 - control lever for the air intake hatch cover; 4 - heater tap control lever.
For heating the car interior and windshield (so that it is not covered with frost and ice) move the heater control lever to the right and...
... the control lever for the air intake hatch cover.
If necessary (when driving at low speed) turn on the heater electric fan by moving its switch to the position corresponding to low or high speed.
To change the direction of the air flow, turn the deflectors, directing the flow to the windshield, into the passenger compartment or to the windows of the side doors.
Open the heater cover to supply warm air to the driver's and passenger's feet.
To warm up the windshield more quickly, close the heater cover.
If the ambient temperature is very low, move the air intake cover control lever to the left by part of its stroke to limit the amount of cold air.
To eliminate fogging or freezing of the rear door glass with the ignition on, press the rear window heating switch button (to the left of the steering column on the instrument panel). At the same time, the control lamp in the upper shoulder of the key will light up (shown by arrow).
