Precautions when operating a vehicle (VAZ-2105)

            0

The car is easy to drive, has high dynamic and speed qualities. However, do not rush to use these qualities completely until you gain confidence in driving it and adapt to its "character".

Do not exceed the vehicle load specified in the manual. Overloading causes damage to the front suspension components, bending of the rear axle beam, premature tire wear, body vibration, and loss of vehicle stability. The weight of the load with the luggage rack installed on the roof of the vehicle must not exceed 50 kg without exceeding the payload.

The soft suspension of the car absorbs vibrations well even when driving fast on uneven roads. However, sharp impacts can deform the axles of the lower arms and damage other parts of the chassis of the car. Therefore, when driving on such roads, do not develop high speed.

Regularly check the condition of the ball joint protective rubber boots and the steering rod joint protective caps. If the boot or cap is damaged, water and dirt will penetrate the joint, causing increased wear and tear. Replace a damaged boot or cap with a new one.

For lubricating units and assemblies, filling the fuel tank, use materials recommended by the manufacturer (see appendix 1). Failure to comply with this recommendation will result in premature failure of the vehicle units.

Do not engage the starter while the engine is running. This may cause damage to the pinion gear teeth or flywheel.

It is not allowed to move the car from a standstill using the starter. Start the car in first gear with the parking brake lever fully lowered. Remember that exhaust gases are poisonous. Therefore, the room where the engine is started and warmed up must be well ventilated.

In cold weather, before turning on the windshield wipers, make sure that the brushes are not frozen to the glass. Failure to follow this recommendation may lead not only to the breakage of the brushes, but also to the failure of their electric drives.

Do not operate the vehicle with the low oil pressure indicator on. The indicator may light up at minimum crankshaft speed in idle mode. When the speed increases, the indicator should go out. Lighting up of the indicator in operating engine modes indicates insufficient pressure in the lubrication system.

Never allow the engine to operate at a crankshaft speed at which the tachometer needle is in the red zone of the scale. The tachometer needle R in the yellow zone signals that the crankshaft speed is approaching the maximum permissible one.

Operating tires at pressures other than those recommended will result in premature wear and tear, as well as reduced vehicle stability and control.

Always keep the battery terminals and clamps clean and their connections secure. Remember that oxidation of terminals and clamps, as well as their careless connection, cause sparking at the point of unreliable contact, which can lead to failure of the vehicle's electronic equipment. For the same reason, it is not allowed to check the generator's performance with the engine running by removing the clamps from the battery.

Dismantling of high-voltage wires from ignition system devices should be carried out only by the protective cap. Dismantling by the high-voltage wire is not allowed!

When installing the battery on the vehicle, make sure that the wires are connected in accordance with the polarity indicated on their ends and the battery terminals (the positive terminal is larger than the negative one).

When charging the battery directly on the car from an external power source, be sure to disconnect it from the generator. The battery is connected to the terminal "30" of the generator with a positive wire (tip "+").

When the "Check Engine" lamp lights up while the engine is running, it signals a malfunction. The electronic engine management system automatically switches to emergency mode, which allows the vehicle to continue moving. To eliminate the malfunction, contact a certified PTO as soon as possible.

ATTENTION! An engine with a fuel injection system with a neutralizer and oxygen sensor operates properly if only unleaded gasoline is used. Leaded gasoline quickly disables these components, smoky exhaust appears, fuel consumption increases sharply and vehicle dynamics deteriorate.

The neutralizer is an expensive component that ensures environmental protection. The neutralizer can also fail if there is a misfire in the ignition system, since in this case the fuel will ignite in the neutralizer and the temperature in it will increase sharply, which will cause cracks in the ceramic block.

When misfires occur (engine misfires and jerking when driving) you need to stop driving, turn off the engine and take measures to eliminate the misfires.

To avoid damage to the neutralizer, do not start the engine by towing the vehicle and under no circumstances use the starter to move the vehicle.

ATTENTION! Due to the fact that the neutralizer, located under the bottom of the car, has a high temperature, make sure that when parking the car there is no dry grass or other flammable material under the neutralizer (rags, wood shavings, etc.).

On a vehicle with a diesel engine, to avoid failure of the high-pressure fuel pump, do not allow the fuel tank to run completely empty.
