Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the starting device housing…
…and remove the body and rod.
We take out the rubber sealing ring.
By pressing the diaphragm rod, we close the inlet hole with our finger.
In a properly functioning trigger, the rod will return to its original position only after the hole has opened.
If this does not happen, then...
…use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew three screws…
…and, having disassembled the body of the starting device, we change the faulty gasket or diaphragm.
We assemble the carburetor housing cover in the reverse order of disassembly. We adjust the fuel level and the amount of opening of the air damper (see Carburetor adjustment).
