...we use a caliper to measure the distance between the cover gasket and the float, which should be 6.5±0.25 mm.
To set this gap, you can use a drill of the appropriate diameter.

If necessary, adjust the gap by carefully bending or unbending the float tongue.

Having deflected the float to the stop from the position in which the fuel level was checked, we check the maximum float stroke, which should be 8±0.25 mm.

If necessary, bend the upper tongue of the float to achieve the desired stroke length.
