Adjusting the carburetor drive (VAZ-1111)

With pedal 1 fully depressed (figure 70) throttle valve control valves should be fully open and lever 8 should not have additional travel. When pedal 1 is released, the throttle valves should be fully closed, and cable 7 on bracket 9 should be taut. If this is not the case, adjust with adjusting nuts 6 or by changing the length of rod 10 within 74-79 mm.

The full pedal travel should not exceed 64.7 mm. If the travel is greater, adjust by bending the stop tab with gasket 2 and check again for complete opening of the throttle valves.

In the air damper drive, the casing 4 of the rod is fastened in the carburetor bracket so that the end of the casing protrudes from under the mounting bar by (20±3) mm. Then the end of the rod 5 is fastened so that when the handle 3 is pulled out, the air damper is completely closed, and when the handle is recessed, it is completely open.
