Note: Vehicles can be equipped with sound signals of types C–304 or C–305 (detachable) or types 20.3721-01 or 201.3721-01 (non-separable). This manual describes signal type 20.3721-01.

1. Remove the radiator grille (see subsection 10.3.) and disconnect the two wires from the signal contacts.

2. Loosen the nut securing the signal bracket to the body.

3. Remove the sound signal.

4. If necessary, unscrew the mounting nut and remove the bracket from the signal housing.

5. Clean the oxidized signal contacts.

6. To adjust the horn, clamp it by the bracket in a vice and connect the battery to the horn contacts. Turn the adjusting screw in the appropriate direction until the desired horn sound is achieved. If the horn volume cannot be adjusted, replace the horn.
7. Set the sound signal in reverse order.
