Note. The work of removing the trunk lid is laborious - you first need to dismantle the wiring harness laid inside the lid. The job may require an assistant to remove and carry the cover.
Removing
1. We prepare the car for repair work.
2. We remove the three ceiling trim holders in the same way as shown when removing the trunk lid trim.
3. Having unscrewed four self-tapping screws, we bend the right trunk trim and disconnect the connectors of the right branch of the trunk lid wires.
4. We mark the colors of the wires and remove the wire ends from the connector, in the same way as it is shown when removing the trunk lid on a VAZ 2112 hatchback car.
5. Having unscrewed the self-tapping screw, we disconnect the decorative trim from the rear pillar (the pad is held by two holders).
Note. It is not necessary to remove the trim, just pull it away from the rack so that you can pull out the wires.
6. The wires on the rack are attached with insulating tape, remove it.
7. Similarly, we release the wires laid along the rear left pillar.
8. Remove the spoiler from the trunk lid.
9. Remove the lining of the trunk lid.
10. Disconnect the wire connector (1) from the left rear light section and wire end (2) from the rear window heating element.
11. Disconnect the wire connector from the rear right light section (2), wire end (3) from the heater and disconnect the wire connector of the motor-reducer (1).
12. Disconnect the wire connector (2) from the rear window wiper and disconnect the wire connector (1) license plate lights.
13. Remove the wire harness holders from the holes.
14. Using a screwdriver, we press the seal into the hole in the trunk lid, and through the hole we pull out the wiring harness together with the connector inside the lid.
15. Using a screwdriver, remove the washer tube seal from the hole in the cover.
16. Remove the seal from the washer tube.
17. Pull the washer tube inside the trunk lid.
18. Remove the seal from the hole on the inside of the cover...
... and pull the left branch of the wiring harness from the inner cavity of the trunk lid.
19. Similarly, we remove the right branch of the wiring harness.
20. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, we unscrew two bolts securing the right and left hinges.
Note. It is advisable to remove and carry the trunk lid with an assistant.
21. Remove the trunk lid along with the hinges.
Installation
We install the trunk lid and all previously removed parts on the car in reverse order. We fill the covers into the holes with a slotted screwdriver with a thin blade.
