Note. The work on replacing the tailgate lamp is shown on the VAZ 2112 car with a hatchback body. On VAZ 2110 cars with sedan bodies and VAZ 2111 with station wagon bodies, the work on replacing the tailgate lamp is performed in the same way.
Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for repair work.
2. Turn off the outside lighting.
3. Using a slotted screwdriver, pry up the front edge of the lampshade and remove it from the trim.
Recommendation. If it is necessary to remove the trunk light, disconnect two wires from its terminals. The wire tip (1) supplying voltage to the light switch must be insulated to eliminate the possibility of a short circuit when the light is turned on.
4. Using a slotted screwdriver, press the spring contact and remove the faulty lamp from the lampshade.
5. Install the new lamp, making sure that its bases fit into the contact holes.
6. Place the protrusion on the back of the lamp behind the edge of the hole in the trim and, pressing on the front of the lamp, fix the trunk light in place.
