On VAZ 2112 hatchback and VAZ 2110 sedan cars, license plate lights are installed in the rear bumper niche.
On the VAZ 2111 station wagon, the license plate lights are installed under the decorative trim of the trunk door.
Removal and installation of license plate lights, as well as replacement of their bulbs, are performed the same way on cars with any body type.
The work on replacing the headlight bulbs is shown on a VAZ 2112 hatchback.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for repair work.
2. Turn off the outside lighting.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the light from below.

4. Remove the light from the bumper hole together with the rubber protective cover.
Note: The following two procedures can be omitted to replace the lamp.
5. Remove the protective rubber cover from the flashlight and disconnect the ends of the two wires from the flashlight terminals.
6. Remove the light from the car.
7. Using a slotted screwdriver, press the lamp diffuser retainer and remove the diffuser.
8. Remove the faulty lamp from the spring contacts.
Installation
We assemble the license plate light and install it on the car in the reverse order.
